Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.
Today’s pic is Nora Roberts, it comes out next week and I can’t wait!
From Nora’s webpage:
The number-one New York Times-bestselling author delves into the world of elite firefighters who thrive on danger and adrenaline-men and women who wouldn't know how to live life if it wasn't on the edge.
There's little as thrilling as firefighting-at least to Rowan Tripp. The Missoula smoke jumpers are in Rowan's blood: her father is a legend. She's been fighting fires since her eighteenth birthday. At this point, returning to the wilds of Montana for the season feels like coming home-even with reminders of the partner she lost last season still lingering.
Fortunately, this year's rookie crop is one of the strongest ever-and Gulliver Curry's one of the best. He's also a walking contradiction, a hotshot firefighter with a big vocabulary and a winter job at a kids' arcade.
Everything is thrown off balance when a dark presence lashes out against Rowan, looking to blame someone for last year's tragedy. Rowan knows she can't someone she can lean on, she may not make it through the summer complicate things with Gull-any distractions in the air or on the ground could mean the end-but if she doesn't find . . . .

Jules! What are you doing here? Go and buy Nora’s books, or go to your library, or borrow one from a friend, but get your hands on them! You’re missing out on an amazing experience. Seriously, she has that big of a reputation for a reason!

Thanks a lot for the follow, I've done the same. I've never read any Nora Roberts, but I've always wanted to. Any suggestions? I have no idea where to start reading. Chasing Fire looks wonderful!

Hi Audrey!
ReplyDeleteThat’s a hard question! Nora Roberts has written everything, Paranormal, Romantic Suspense, Family Drama, Light Romance, I think my favorites are Carnal Innocence, Angels Fall, Hidden Riches and the Chesapeake Bay series.
When I first started reading romance I didn't really knew anything about which authors were famous or acclaimed or good (and I mean anything, Nora Roberts, Linda Howard, Julie Garwood, Judith McNaught, I have never heard from them), but Nora kept showing up on my Amazon recommendations page, so what I did was write Nora Roberts on the search bar and then sorted out the books based on which one had the best reviews, I started from those with 5 stars and just read my way down the list, and oh my God! that was the best thing I could have done, so if you want to try her books maybe you should do the same as I did. Read the synopsis and pick the one you find more interesting!
Great, thanks! I just found Hidden Riches on my bookshelf so I'll start with that :) I have a feeling I'm going to get obsessed! Thanks for all the recommendations/suggestions!
