Today’s featured blog is Starting the Next Chapter, is a very cool looking blog so don’t forget to visit and follow! Let’s say hello to Marla who is running the show over there.
This week’s question is a very hard one!
Q. Keeping with the dystopian and apocalypse theme that seems to be running rampant on parajunkee.com, I have one very hard question for you: If you were stocking your bomb shelter, what books would you HAVE to include if you only had space for ten?
Mines are, in no particular order (except the first one that is my favorite book EVER and I must have read a thousand times!):
Follow My Book Blog Friday Hosted by parajunkee.com |
- Timeline by Michael Chrichton
- Carnal Innocence by Nora Roberts
- The Unsung Hero by Suzanne Brockmann
- Over the Edge by Suzanne Brockmann
- Angels Fall by Nora Roberts
- Demon Nigh by Meljean Brook
- Shades of Twilight by Linda Howard
- After the Night by Linda Howard
- It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
- Can I cheat on this one and just say my Kindle? No? Ok then, my last pick is Private Scandals by Nora Roberts.
There you go! Hopefully the apocalypse never comes because choosing books would be terrible (that’s right, if the apocalypse comes my main concern would be which books to save…).
Hi there!!! As Brie told you I was camping Thursday night at Buckinghan Palace. After a long night and day (from 9pm Thursday to 4pm Friday with no sleep) I saw everyone: Kate, Prince William, The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince Harry, Kate's Family and even Prince Felipe and Princess Letizia from Spain!!!! I'll post the photos later.
Well this is my list:
It is really hard to choose so probably, if you ask me in a month or so, I will give you a different list.
Well this is my list:

It is really hard to choose so probably, if you ask me in a month or so, I will give you a different list.

ReplyDeleteI haven't read any of the books on your list, but I'll have to check them out! The only ones I've heard about are the Nora Roberts ones, and I hear they're great!
Was it hard for you to pick only ten books? I need to be able to have at least 15, lol.
ReplyDeleteOh my! You know, I haven't read any of the books you mentioned but they seems really interesting. I checked them in Goodreads.com and added some of them. TBR list is growing bigger and bigger!

Carnal Innocence is the best! I love the laid back southern hero! He is one of Nora's best!
ReplyDeleteI love your book collection! My thinking is, is that if we all just went in the same bomb shelter together so then we wouldn't really have to pick. As a whole group we would have all the books we need!
ReplyDeleteGREAT BLOG! You have a new follower!
Check out my answers http://extraordinarybooksblog.blogspot.com/2011/04/follow-friday.html
Hi Brie,
ReplyDeleteStopping by from Follow Friday. Great book choices. I see you're a Nora Roberts fan. I'm going to give her a try one of these days.
I'm a new follower.
Please come on over and check out my 10 picks:
AsianCocoa's Secret Garden
Thank you so much Brie for giving me help with the blockquote! It worked FINALLY! I was going out of my mind, my husband was ready to make me get off the computer. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteHi Linds! I’m glad the link was useful. All this blogging tricks are an absolute pain. Two weeks ago I was learning how to do the blockquotes so I understand how you feel. Right now I’m trying to figure out the intensedebate thing and I’m about to kill someone! Hehehehe.
ReplyDeleteHaha, Bri, I see you want to take your Kindle too. I guess that's considered cheating.
ReplyDeleteThank you for visiting my blog! (: I'm from Holland, so my first language is Dutch.
Anyway, hope to talk to you soon!

Hi Celine! Yep it is cheating, but since we are supposed to be in the middle of the apocalypse I doubt people are going to concerned themselves with whether I followed the rules and didn’t bring my Kindle with me…
ReplyDeleteHow cool it is that you are from Holland! The closest I’ve been to Holland was during a fly connection trough Schiphol, but I never actually stepped outside the airport… I’m dying to go there though!
Thanks for visiting our blog!
