Follow My Book Blog Friday (09/30 to 10/07)

This week’s featured blog is The Bookaholic. Remember to head over there and follow!

Today's question is:

Q. What book that hasn’t been turned into a movie (yet) would you most like to see make it to the big screen, and who would you like cast as your favorite character?

Oh no! I hate when they turn books into movies, they almost always screw it up and I don’t like it. Besides, I don’t want to associate a character with any actor because I have a somewhat clear mental image and then I would lose it, that’s why I also hate it when a character’s description says something like he looks like X actor. So my answer is Hell No! I’m not telling you about my fav book because I don’t want you getting any ideas about turning it into a movie.

Have a great weekend everyone!

  1. LOL great answer! The movies do tend to get things wrong (some worse than others). I don't usually mind too much though.

  2. Hopping through. As nice as the idea of a book being made into a movie, usually it doesn't work well. It becomes depressing.

  4. Good point!!I agree. I have a difficult time answering casting questions because I'm out of the loop when it comes to actors/actresses.

  7. I know what you mean about ruining books when they make them into movies. If they could do a perfect job of making a book into a movie, I would be so happy!

Hopping through as a new follower! Thanks for stopping by my blog. ^_^ Happy Follow Friday!

  8. LOL. I do agree with you Brie. Many times they do not do the bet job in turning the books to movies. I'd really like for the movie people to not think of time retrictions and just go for it. And if the movie is three hours, so be it. We all sat through LOTR and Titanic...if it's good and worth it...people will watch.

  11. Hopping through. Thanks for coming by the blog. :)
I am one of the weird people who can enjoy the books-turned-into-movies. I used to hate it, really, but over the past few years I've developed this attitude that they're two different forms of entertainment. Movies are a form of interpretation only and I'll always cherish the books. It's interesting for me to see how it's played out on screen and such after seeing it in my own head while reading. If I don't like how the movie turns out, I can just pick up the book whenever I want and see my own "movie" that way. :P

    Hope you're having a great weekend! :)

Blogger likes to eat comments, so I suggest copying it before hitting "publish" just in case it doesn't go through the first time. This is a pain, I know, but it's the only solution/prevision I can think of, and it will save you the frustration of losing a comment. Also, thanks for visiting!
